Oscillation
Therapy

Oscillation therapy is a type of somatic education which helps release deep-seated physical and mental patterns and facilitates deep relaxation, increased physical mobility, and mental clarity. The body can coordinate it's patterns of movement in response to accidents, injuries, illnesses, physical or mental trauma, or from the ongoing stresses of everyday life.

This type of work is done with the recipient fully clothed without any oil or lotion. The technique uses gentle touch, rhythmic rocking motions, or "oscillating", and a combination of passive and active movements in order to reeducate the recipient's neuromuscular connection on how to move with more ease. In a non-intrusive and natural way, the recipient's body is guided through it's natural movements, and takes the joints throughout their natural range of motion with a sense of effortlessness.

Oscillation therapy is effective for back and neck pain relief, joint irritation, postural problems, mobility issues and soft tissue discomfort.  Tension headaches, stress-related disorders, and other emotional imbalances can be relieved as well.

This modality is based off of The Trager Approach, which was developed by dancer, gymnast, and medical doctor Milton Trager over a period of 65 years. I was trained at California Healing Arts College by a Certified Trager Practitioner who was taught by Milton Trager, MD himself.
